Our Start

How It All Began

Although we have had German Shepherds for over 35 years, Stephen and I decided to start ColbyHaus Shepherds in March 2005 with the purchase of Cody "Brown Hill's Best For Last". Cody was a great dog and would do anything we would ask of him. We participated in our first AKC events with Cody, and even though being a show dog wasn’t his calling, we did earn a Rally Novice title with him. 
We are ring side every chance we get supporting our beloved breed; by way of showing our pups, rooting for all the dogs competing, and diving into pedigree’s.  In 2020, our son Dan and his partner Justin joined team ColbyHaus, expanding our program to the Georgia area.
